Travel

By Air

Strasbourg can be reached by air through several airports:

The Strasbourg airport (Aéroport International de Strasbourg/Entzheim) is situated at about 15km/12mi southwest from Strasbourg.

It can be reached with daily traffic from Paris (many flights) and Amsterdam. From the airport, a taxi drive to the city center takes about 20-30min (approximative cost 25 Euros during day time).

A bus shuttle drives also to a tramway station (Baggersee), from where the tramway deserves the city center, the conference hotels and the conference center. It takes about 40 min. and costs 4.70 Euros (single trip) and 8.50 Euros (return).

The Frankfurt airport is located at about 200km north from Strasbourg, in Germany. A bus shuttle drives daily between Frankfurt and Strasbourg in about 2h30min. There are three stops in Strasbourg, among them the Hilton hotel, which is the main ADASS conference hotel.

Less convenient is the Zurich airport (Switzerland). Connection to Strasbourg by train or car (about 3 hours). Closer, but mainly deserving european cities is the Euro Airport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.

By train

Strasbourg is directly connected to Paris, Lyon, Lille, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Northern Italy and Eastern Europe. Strasbourg Central Station is located in the city center, where a tramway stop drives to the conference hotels as well as the conference center.

By Car

Highway A4 from Paris, as well as highways from south France and Germany drive to Strasbourg. Details of how to reach the hotels and the conference center will follow.
