ADASS Database Query Help

These query forms are simple interfaces to a small MySQL database called 'adass'. Questions regarding this database should be addressed to ADASS X POC member Betty Stobie, or the ADASS Database Administrator at the bottom of this page.

Basic Usage

Search Fields

A brief description of each search field is below, followed by examples of input. The use of the "*" wildcard is suggested in all fields unless you want an "exact" match .

ADASS Year - The conference year, examples:

Last Name - Speaker/Participant's last name, for demos or posters, last name will be name of first author. Examples: First Name - Speaker/Participant's first name, examples: Affiliation - Speaker/Participant's affiliated institution, examples:

NOTE: Affiliations in the Invited Speaker table are generally in acronym form, while in the Participant table they are in long form.

Title - The title of the oral presentation, poster paper or demonstration, examples:

Special Topic - Is the category in which the talk was presented, examples:

Buttons

Search - Query the database.
Output As - Output results as HTML (default), or save to file as XML or TSV (Tab Separated Values).
Sort by - Sort displayed output by any one of the above search fields.
Results per page - Number of result rows to display per page.
Clear all fields - Form will be cleared entirely.
