Tutorial Solicitation
The ADASS Program Organizing Committee is soliciting proposals for a tutorial on Sunday, 15 October. Often in the past the ADASS conference has been preceded by a tutorial on Sunday afternoon on a technical subject of general interest to the conference community. The tutorials have typically lasted for 2 to 3 hours, and are generally very well attended.
If you wish to present a tutorial at ADASS XVI, please send e-mail to the Chair of the Program Organizing Committee, Arnold Rots (arots@head.cfa.harvard.edu) and include:
- Title of the Tutorial
- Name and a short bio of the speaker(s)
- A description the subject matter
- A brief outline of the material
- An estimate of the needed duration of the Tutorial
The POC will base the final selection of a tutorial upon the strength of the proposal, the available time, and on the breadth of likely participant interest. Tutorial speakers generally have their conference registration fee waived, but exact arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis.
Deadline: The deadline for submission of this information is 26 May so that potential participants may include the Tutorial in their registration selections.
